Spacing: 8" apart or 4 bulbs per square foot
Light Needs: Full sun to light shade
Soil Needs: Average to fertile, well-drained
Bloom Time: Late spring
Uses: Flower beds, rock gardens, cut flowers, borders- on the edges of woods or garden spaces, deer-resistant
Care: Fritillaria prefers organically rich soil - amend the area with compost before planting. Feed with a granular flower bulb fertilizer at planting time or in the spring when the leaves emerge. Fritillaria does not like to be disturbed, once you have chosen its home it is recommended that you leave it where you plant it. Cut back spent flowers and allow foliage to die back naturally before removing it (4-6 weeks after flowering).
