Beacon Series impatiens grow stronger and perform longer in gardens, window boxes, and hanging baskets than other impatiens. Extensive trialing has proven that the Beacon series has high resistance to IDM (Impatiens downy mildew, a destructive disease that has affected impatiens for over a decade). You can confidently fill in those part sun to shaded locations with these season-lasting vibrant colors.

PLANTING

Annual

Germination: 10-21 days

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 70-75ºF

Seed Planting Depth: Sow on the surface and press into soil, seeds need light to germinate

Starting Indoors: Start indoors 6-10 weeks before the last frost. Provide 70-75ºF soil temperature. Transplant after last frost, 12-18” apart

Sowing Outdoors:  Direct sowing is not recommended
