Sensational foliage is uniquely shaped with a stunning color combination; avocado green background, marbled with steel gray, maroon veins, stems, and leaf backside all on deeply cut, maple shaped leaves. Dramatic when placed as a solo container plant or in a shade garden complemented with Coleus and New Guinea Impatiens. Adaptable as a houseplant, bring indoors over winter for a large, voluminous plant the next season. Strong, durable foliage grows well in shade to part shade.

Germination: 15-30 days

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 70-80ºF

Seed Planting Depth: Sow on the surface and press into soil, seeds need light to germinate

Starting Indoors:  Start indoors 12-16 weeks before the last frost. Provide 70-80ºF soil temperatures until germination. Transplant after the last frost, 12-15” apart

Sowing Outdoors: Direct sowing is not recommended

Light Needs: Shade to part sun

Soil Needs: Fertile, well-drained

Uses: Shade gardens, flower beds, containers, hanging baskets, window boxes

Care: Water seedlings regularly until established. Amend soil with compost before transplanting. Apply a liquid fertilizer every 3-4 weeks or use a time-release fertilizer at planting time. Deadhead to encourage more flower production. Cut back plants at the end of the season and bring inside for a houseplant.
