Wild Basil

Wild Basil is actually not a true basil.  These small 10-inch plants carry small round green leaves, less than an inch across, with small bright pink flowers. Wild Basil has a mild, savory flavor, and is used by Italians in many dishes.  Medicinally it functions as a skin preparation and a booster of the immune system. Natural low germination. Perennial.

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 65-75ºF

Seed Planting Depth:  Sow on the surface, needs light to germinate.

Starting Indoors:  Start indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Provide 65-75ºF soil temperatures. Transplant after the last frost, 8-12" apart. 

Sowing Outdoors: After the last frost when the soil temperature reaches 65-70ºF. Sow a few seeds every 6-8" for full-sized plants.
