Oregon Sugar Pod II Pea (68 Days)
The Oregon Sugar Pod II Pea is an edible pod snow pea often used in Chinese cuisine. Unlike snap peas, it is best harvested at a very immature stage, when the forming peas are just barely visible. This relatively new variety was developed at Oregon State University and has a fairly short vine (30-36”), so it isn’t absolutely necessary to support it. Pods are smooth and ready for harvest when 4” long. Flavor is sweet and mild. 50
