The more it rains the more those slimy creatures emerge. Slugs and snails can destroy the leaves on vegetables and flowering plants in a mere few hours. A blend of iron phosphate lures slugs from their hiding places near plants. Ingestion, even in small amounts, will cause them to cease feeding, becoming less mobile and beginning to die within days. Evening is the best time to apply, sprinkling it around the plants for prevention. Safe around pets too! Apply 1 lb. per 1,000 sq. ft or 1 level teaspoon per square yard.
