Purple Top White Globe Turnip (Heirloom, 58 Days)
Heirloom. Roots are nearly round with purple tops and white bottoms. The Purple Top White Globe Turnip will grow to almost the size of a rutabaga, but better young. Flavor is very "turnipy". Plant seeds 1/4 inch deep and 3 inches apart as soon as the ground can be worked and continue throughout the season.

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 60-75ºF.
Seed Sowing Depth: 1/2" deep
Sowing Outdoors: Starting in early spring through late summer. Sow 1/2-1" apart, thin to 3-6" apart, soon after the seedlings emerge. Sow every 7-10 days for a continuous harvest.
