Baby Sun Coreopsis

One of the most carefree perennials you can grow, Baby Sun is covered with an abundance of 1 1/2" blooms for much of the summer. You will harvest armfuls of golden flowers that are touched by a dark maroon center. Grows 2' and enjoys a sunny spot in the garden.

Germination: 7-10 days

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 65-75ºF

Seed Planting Depth: Sow on the surface and press into soil, seeds need light to germinate

Starting Indoors: Start indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Provide 65-75 ºF soil temperatures. Transplant after the last frost date, 12-18” apart.

Sowing Outdoors:  Direct sow outdoors after the last frost date

Growth Habit: Mounding

Uses:  Cut flowers, flower beds, borders, and cottage gardens, containers and planters, rock gardens, deer and rabbit resistant, attracts beneficials

Care: Low maintenance, minimal care required, drought-tolerant. Cut back stems as the blooms fade, this encourages more flower production.
