Imperial Mix Scabiosa is also known as pincushion flower, colorful and easy-to-grow annual- an excellent addition to the cutting, flower, or pollinator garden. Flowers appear like pincushions with tufts of layered petals forming a sphere. This charming mix comes in maroon, pink, rose, lavender, and white shades. Cut flowers are long-lasting and if you cut regularly, you will receive continuous bloom into fall. Attracts pollinators and butterflies. Grows to 30-40”.

Germination:  10-21 days

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 65-70ºF

Seed Planting Depth:  Sow on the surface, needs light for germination

Starting Indoors:  Start indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost. Provide 65-70ºF soil temperature for germination. Sow a few seeds per individual cell or pot or start in a 20-row tray, then transplant into larger cells/pots/containers. Transplant outside after the last frost, 8-12" apart.

Sowing Outdoors: Direct sow 2 weeks before the last frost. Sow a few seeds every 2-4”. Thin to the strongest seedling, 8-12" apart.
