Intriguing nonculinary oregano that has densely textured mounds of drooping hop-like flowers in soft tones of sage green, dusty pink, and purple, changing with different light exposure. PLANTING

Origanum x hybrida

Perennial, Zones 5-8

Germination: 4-8 days

Seed Planting Depth: Sow on the surface and lightly press into soil, seeds need light to germinate

Starting Indoors:  Start indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost. Provide 65-70ºF  soil temperature. Transplant 14-18" apart after the last frost.

Outside Sowing: not recommended

Growth Habit: Mounding, slightly trailing

Height and Width: 8-10" x 12-14"

Spacing: 14-18" apart

Light Needs:  Full sun, light shade 

Soil Needs:  Average, well-drained

Approximate days to flower from seed: 90-100 days for full-sized plants

Uses: Window-boxes, hanging baskets, patio containers, borders, rock gardens, established plants tolerate drought, low maintenance, colorful all season long.

Care:  Mix compost into the soil at transplanting time. Keep transplants watered regularly until established when they will tolerate drier conditions.
