Topper Turnip (35 Days)
This variety is grown primarily for the greens. There tend to be 7 tops which are dark green, crisp, and delicious, particularly when harvested young. The Topper Turnip is resistant to aphids and mildew. Plant seeds 1/4 inch deep and 3 inches apart as soon as the ground can be worked and continue throughout the season.

Germination Temperature: Optimum soil temperatures 60-75ºF.
Seed Sowing Depth: 1/2" deep
Sowing Outdoors: Starting in early spring through late summer. Sow 1/2-1" apart, thin to 3-6" apart, soon after the seedlings emerge. Sow every 7-10 days for a continuous harvest.

Harvest: Leafy greens and roots from baby to full size. The younger the roots the more tender better flavor.
