Vermont Compost Company's Fort Light is a lightweight, compost-based soil packed full of natural fertilizers and plant foods. This soil will help your plants flourish with no additional fertilizers. Added pearlite makes Fort Light a quick-draining soil, great for plant pots, hanging baskets, and smaller-celled trays. Fort Light provides ideal conditions for even the trickiest of seeds to thrive, and is a favorite among flower growers. To use, simply wet the soil with warm water a few hours before planting, then plant away! While storing, avoid direct sunlight and drastic changes in moisture. 

Fort Light or Fort Vee? While both are excellent choices for seed starting and potting up, most growers have a preference between the two. You may want to choose Fort Light if you are looking for a lighter-weight soil mix that will drain more quickly, especially in smaller-celled trays.
